Road Trip? a little planning goes a long way...

Spend a little time checking these great sites before you go:

www.momsminivan.com - Find more than 100 games and activity ideas to keep kids occupied.

http://www.roadfood.com/ - map out the best small-town eats before you go.

www.autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx - Price shop for gas. This site gets data from 90,000 gas stations so you can choose the cheapest along your route.

http://www.thebathroomdiaries.com/- Locate safe, clean restrooms beyond the highway.

http://www.weather.com- plan your driving (and packing) accordingly.

Have you got everything? use a checklist and put it on your computer for next time. Update as needed.

Include:
first-aid kit
emergency reflective triangles
cell phone car charger
sunscreen
change for tolls
paper towels, hand wipes, toilet paper, seat covers, hand sanitizer, trash bags

For peace of mind
The oven is off
all doors are locked
all windows are closed
all kids are in the car

Before you get home
buy milk and food for the next day

as soon as you can
download your photos
write some notes about the trip before you forget the details
